The Millennium Trek, as its name suggests is a trekking route that commenced from the beginning of the new millennium; 2000 and is one of the newly explored homestay (village-to-village) trekking trail in the western part of Nepal. This trekking route runs from Dulegaunda of Tanahun to Rambachha of Syangja district. It is an approximately 72-kilometre long trekking route that traverses through the middle hills of Gandaki Province.
Starting from the height of 420m, this trek route elevates up to the height of 1709m from the sea level. It is also known as Mid Hill ridge-line trek and lies on the southeast of Pokhara and northeast of walling Bazaar.
Besides the lively vistas of the snowy mountains and the natural beauty of the place, Millennium Trek is also home to several religious heritages, waterfalls, caves and old Palaces. Here are the different attractions of the Minnennium Trek.
This trek provides a unique opportunity for the trekkers to learn Nepali culture. While on the trek, visitors can enjoy various cultural activities like Ghatu, Sorathi, Kauda, Salaijo, Jhora, Thado Bhaka and Krishna Charitra, among others.
One of the major concerns for most trekkers- the altltitude of the trek is also less of a problem here as the highest altitude on this trial is 1602 meters. This trek also offers an opportunity for the visitors to observe and enjoy more than 30 colorful villages within Tanahun and Syanja districts.
The trek can be lengthened and shortened in your discretion and it is also possible to do the visit selectively. However, the entire trek can be completed in six days. Here’s a day-to-day itinerary of six days :
